Treatment Process

How removal actually works

Laser tattoo removal works by sending short bursts of laser energy into the tattoo ink. The laser targets the ink particles beneath the skin and breaks them into tiny fragments.

Once the ink is broken down, your body's immune system naturally removes these particles over time. This is why tattoo removal is a gradual process and multiple treatments are usually needed.

Every tattoo is different, and results depend on factors such as the ink colours, age of the tattoo, depth of the ink, and your body's ability to clear the fragmented ink.

  1. 01

    Free Consultation & Skin Assessment

We sit down with you, review the tattoo, assess your skin type (Fitzpatrick scale), and discuss your goal — full removal or fading for a cover-up. You'll leave with a realistic session estimate and a quote. No pressure, no obligation.

  2. 02

    Laser Treatment Session

Treatments use a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser that emits ultra-short pulses of light to shatter ink particles into fragments small enough for your body to absorb. Sessions run 10–30 minutes depending on size. A chilled-air cooler keeps the area comfortable, and protective eyewear is provided.

  3. 03

    Immediate Aftercare

Straight after treatment we apply a soothing gel and sterile dressing. You'll get a printed aftercare card and a complimentary aftercare balm. Mild redness, frosting (a temporary white film) or slight swelling for 24–48 hours is completely normal.

  4. 04

    Healing Between Sessions

Your immune system spends the next 6–8 weeks flushing the fragmented ink. Keep the area clean, dry, moisturised and out of direct sun. Avoid swimming, saunas and hot baths for the first 72 hours. We check in to make sure healing is on track.

  5. 05

    Final Fade & Skin Recovery

Most tattoos need 6–12 sessions for full removal, fewer for fading. As you near the finish line, sessions become further apart and you'll see the ink lift dramatically. We don't stop until you're genuinely happy with the result.
